Artist books are intentional works of art created in the form of a book. They are considered to be one of the novel art genres of the twentieth century. Contemporary artists are continually creating books that push the very definition of the book, as a visual, interactive, multimedia, sculptural, narrative, art form. The genre is interactive in nature, The cadence, sequencing, amount of visual content and text are purposefully designed, allowing the viewer an opportunity to explore the book as a tactile and experiential journey.
Being a book artist allows me to be my own author, artist/illustrator, typographer, printer, and binder.
